Description

For too long a taboo topic although integral to people’s existence (whether acknowledged or not)

Meaning and purpose in the workplace have become hot topics, allied to the role of virtues and ethics. This survey is an acknowledgement of the rise of consciousness at work, and moves past religiosity to the existence of spirituality as a component of the whole person. It is ‘non-judgemental’. There are two feedback sets:

(1) Where the organisation and its leaders stand in terms of recognising and allowing appropriate spiritual dimensions and practices, under headings of

  • The organisation’s soul, purity of heart, ability of the culture to engage staff
  • Effective use of practices that foster higher purpose, virtues, ethics and sustainability
  • Spiritual development efforts and facilities
  • Using projects as a developmental platform
  • Policies that recognise, allow, leverage enlightened interconnection
  • The employee’s personal experience of the spiritual maturity of the organisation and its managers

(2) A confidential, individual assessment of areas of spiritual strengths and possibilities for change, under the headings:

  • Neutral, not engaged in this subject area
  • Signs of a religious tendency
  • Signs of a spiritual tendency
  • Signs of a tendency to a higher humanity, personhood, character, virtues and values

A few open-ended questions are also included
